Data Deletion Policy

We respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to request permanent deletion of your account and all associated information from the Sathvara Community platform.
How to Delete Your Account

In-App Deletion
- Open the Sathvara Community app
- Navigate to Profile → Account Settings
- Tap “Delete Account”
- Read the warning and confirm deletion
- Your account is immediately deactivated

Email Request
Send an email to privacy@sathvaracommunity.org with:
- Subject: “Account Deletion Request”
- Your registered mobile number
- Your member ID (if known)
- Your full name as registered
What Gets Deleted
- Personal details (name, DOB, gender, blood group)
- Contact information (mobile, email, WhatsApp)
- Family information (spouse, children, parents)
- Permanent and current address details
- Native place and village information
- Education and career records
- Profile photographs and uploaded media
- Privacy settings and preferences
- Login credentials and auth tokens
- Community membership records
- Poll responses and activity history
- Notification preferences
Deletion Timeline

| Request Received | Immediate | Account access revoked, profile removed from directories |
| Data Removal | Within 30 days | All personal data permanently deleted from primary database |
| Backup Purge | Within 90 days | Data removed from all backup and recovery systems |
| Confirmation | After completion | Confirmation email sent to your registered email address |
Data That May Be Retained
In limited circumstances, some data may be retained:
- Legal compliance: Records required by Indian law (tax, financial regulations)
- Pending disputes: Data related to unresolved complaints or investigations
- Anonymized statistics: Aggregate data that cannot identify you personally
Important Notes
- ⚠️Account deletion is permanent and irreversible
- ⚠️You will lose access to all community features, directories, and history
- ⚠️Family connections and relationships will be permanently unlinked
- ⚠️To rejoin, you must create a new account and go through the full approval process
